Launching of Ghana Projects Introduction of the mission and vision of Harvest Keepers International to the Ghanaian public through presentations and media interviews. May 2006

Anfaani Children's Home In October 2006, Harvest Keepers International in cooperation with Child Aid Ghana began to provide support for the operation of the Anfaani Children's Home - an orphanage at Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana.

HKI has identified Abokobi, a town situated on the outskirts of the fast-growing metropolis of Accra, Ghana as its operational base for Africa projects.
It is the goal of HKI to provide individuals and groups of Christians the logistical base and opportunities for short and medium term missions trips to Africa.

In April 2006, a team of HKI representative traveled to Ghana to hold meetings with the traditional rulers, political officials, religious leaders and the community at large at Abokobi. This resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding paving the way for the launching of the projects outlined below. This agreement documents the scope and scale of HKI operations and the local support that will be required in the securing of substantial land and the community participation to meet the objectives of the organization.

Highlights of the Abokobi visit included a Youth Soccer Festival involving 8 surrounding villages and a distribution of clothes and toys to the community.
