• The establishment of practical post harvest techniques and technologies for food processing and preservation.

• A mobile Cassava processing plant for commercial Gari and Starch production is among the primary projects under consideration.

• There are currently national public health programs that include family planning and HIV-Aids education centered on the ‘Abstinence’, ‘Being faithful’ and ‘Condom use’ (ABC) messages. HKI Abstinence education is envisaged through a strategy in which Purity and the Superiority of Abstinence is highlighted. It is proposed that a leadership training program for the establishment of Abstinence Clubs, Peer Social Accountability Groupings be formed and supported.
  
• HKI has the opportunity to partner with other non-governmental organizations to run programs for orphaned children. Child Aid Ghana is one such organization that has established an orphanage in the northern region of Ghana. HKI is in close collaboration with Child Aid Ghana to provide the funds necessary for operating the facility.

Education

• Conducting public discussion groups, forums, panels, lectures or other similar programs.
  
• Educational Grants and Scholarships for economically disadvantaged children.
  
• Child literacy and development programs.
  
• Centers for Vocational and Entrepreneurial Development.
  

• An immediate study of some of the ongoing programs for bright but needy children is envisaged to enable HKI take advantage of information on known best practices for use by an HKI sub-committee set up for evaluating applications.
  
• With respect to Vocational and Entrepreneurial Development programs, centers for training in the setup and management of small business enterprises will be established in target regions in Ghana. A curriculum will be developed and marketed at the various levels of supervision in the private and governmental educational hierarchy. This is aimed at increasing the opportunities for developing communities to become participants in the national economy.

• Christian based media services.
  
• Entertainment and educational television programming.
  
• Establishment and management of sports franchises to seed societies with balanced people and leadership oriented individuals.

• The conversion of local folk stories and fables into an animated television series. The series will then be printed as comic books and early childhood literacy aids. It is also expected that a national conference for Christians in Journalism would be organized to highlight positive and negative programming for children in the electronic media (TV/Radio/Internet).
  
• The establishment of a Sports Academy. This would begin with formation of an amateur soccer clubs.

• Providing technical and project management assistance to Local, Regional and National Government sponsored social and infrastructural development projects.
  

• This is HKI’s main income-generating operation. The ultimate aim is to enhance Christian influence in business and socio-economic development.
